Governor Mutfwang Refutes Rumors of Defection to APC

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has firmly denied recent social media rumors suggesting he has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a press statement, Governor Mutfwang condemned these allegations as the work of mischief-makers attempting to mislead the public and sow division. He reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing his commitment to the party’s principles and the mandate given to him by the people of Plateau State.

The Governor criticized the circulation of doctored images that falsely depict him alongside APC governors, allegedly preparing to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Edo State. He described this as a deliberate effort to create confusion and question his allegiance to the PDP.

Reiterating his dedication to serving Plateau State through the PDP, Governor Mutfwang made it clear that he has never considered switching to another party. He reassured PDP members in Plateau State and the North Central Zone that discussions are ongoing with key stakeholders to address existing challenges within the party.

Reflecting on the success of the recent PDP Governors’ meeting hosted in Plateau State, the Governor highlighted the importance of maintaining the party’s founding values of equity, justice, and fairness.

Governor Mutfwang also expressed his commitment to working in cooperation with the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the progress and development of Plateau State.
