Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTB) has announced that the transition to its new Finacle Core Banking Application Systems is taking longer than anticipated. In an official statement via its X (formerly Twitter) handle, the bank acknowledged the impact of the delay on customers, expressing regret for any inconvenience caused.
“We understand that you rely on our services to carry out important financial transactions, and we apologize for every inconvenience this disruption to our banking services might cause you,” the statement said.
GTB has requested continued patience and support from its customers during this period and has urged those in need of assistance to contact its customer service center.
The bank further clarified that, due to the extended transition, all banking channels, including branch services, which were initially scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m., will now open at 12:00 noon today.
