Gunmen abduct four female students

Four female students of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi (JOSTUM), have been abducted by gunmen.

The incident took place on Tuesday night.

FCNN learnt that the gunmen picked the four female students of JOSTUM at different locations off campus between 8 pm and 9pm on a day the University launched a new security uniform and the Vice Chancellor Inspected a Guard of honour.

This has created tension on campus with the students gathering in different groups to discuss the next line of action.

Chief (Mrs.) Rosemary Waku, the head of Public Relations and Protocol of the University, when contacted confirmed the incident but said she will provide more details when she gets to the university.

However, all attempt to speak with Vice Chancellor of the Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi, Professor Idoko Isaac, were futile as he didn’t pick calls or respond to text messages.
