Osun Leaps from 33rd to 7th in National Examination Rankings

A new report released by the National Examinations Council (NECO) has revealed that Osun State has made a dramatic improvement in its educational performance, rising from 33rd position in 2022 to 7th place in the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The ranking, contained in the NECO “Standard Educational Performance Ranking of States in 2024 SSCE,” marks a significant achievement for Governor Ademola Adeleke, who had pledged during his 2022 gubernatorial campaign to move Osun into the top ten in national exam standings.

According to a statement from the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, the state recorded a 71% success rate in the 2024 SSCE.
