Gunmen Kill Baby, Three Farmers in Plateau Attack

Gunmen have killed four individuals, including a nine-month-old baby, in an attack on Nkiendowro community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, claimed the lives of two women and a man. Two others sustained injuries during the ambush.
According to reports, the victims were transporting tomatoes from their farm in Nkiendowro, intending to take them to the Farin-Gada market in Jos, when they were attacked near a bridge close to the Tegbe-Nkiendowro community.
Joseph Chudu, spokesperson for the Miango Youths Development Association, confirmed the killings on Thursday.
He said the deceased had been taken to the mortuary, while the injured were receiving treatment at a hospital.
Chudu expressed frustration over the persistent violence in the area, saying, “I don’t know the type of democracy we are practising. Every day, people are being killed and the perpetrators are not brought to book. Just yesterday, four people, including a nine-month-old baby, were killed.”
He added that the incident had been reported to security agencies but lamented the lack of effective response, stating, “We don’t know what to do again because the killings are just too much.”
