Gunmen launches new Kidnap attack in Abuja suburb, Kubwa

Early hours of Monday morning, armed men suspected to be kidnappers launched another attack and abducted an unspecified number of persons at the Grow Homes Estate along Kuchibiyi in Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory.
FCNN learnt that at about 12:00 am, gunmen invaded the estate and shot randomly before escaping with their victims
A resident who anonymously spoke to FCNN reporter said “We heard the sounds of gunshot, there was panic in the entire community as a result of the incident. They escaped through the bush which links the community to Paze village”.
He added that “I saw a man and a woman being taken away by the kidnappers. However, by daybreak, the woman was found within the estate, having been released by her captors for reasons that remain unclear to us all”
Another resident said “The police came at about 1am, and there was a fierce exchange of gunfire for about 30 minutes. “We are begging the government to fix this road for easy access for security patrol vehicles. We also beg the police and, of course, the FCT Administration to help site a station here for rapid response,” a resident said.
