Head Of The Palestinian Community Arrested By Anti-Terrorism Squad In Nigeria
An individual identified as Ramzy Abu Ibrahim, who is the Head of the Palestinian Community in Nigeria, has been arrested in Abuja by operatives of the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
According to his family and a report from FCNN Ibrahim, a Palestinian-Nigerian resident for over 35 years, was taken from his home.
His family claims they do not know his current whereabouts or the specific reason for his arrest, but they suspect it may be linked to his recent public advocacy and commentary on the killings of journalists in Gaza by Israeli airstrikes.
An official from the Palestinian Embassy in Nigeria confirmed they are aware of the arrest and are seeking more details. As of the time of the report, Nigerian security agencies have not released any official statement about the arrest.
