SGF George Akume Visits Yelewata, Benue State
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has arrived in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, following the recent wave of deadly attacks that claimed several lives in the community.

During the visit, Senator Akume expressed deep concern over the tragic events and conveyed the federal government’s solidarity with the people of Benue. He assured the affected communities that they will not be abandoned in their time of grief.
“The people of Benue will not be left alone,” he affirmed, adding that efforts are underway to ensure peace, justice, and lasting security in the area.
The SGF’s visit is seen as a strong show of support and a call for swift government intervention to end the ongoing violence in the region.
