Woli Arole criticises growing ‘braless’ trend at public events

Comedian and actor, Woli Arole, has strongly criticised the rising trend of women attending public events without wearing bras, describing it as “highly indecent” and morally troubling.
In a post shared on Instagram, Arole expressed concern that normalising such practices could erode societal values, stressing that braless dressing is particularly inappropriate at formal or professional gatherings such as weddings, corporate functions, and birthday parties.
“It is highly indecent for a lady to attend a public event without wearing a bra. You see wedding guests and birthday celebrants going braless—this is bad. Be decent. Anyone defending such behaviour is also indecent in her thought,” he wrote.
The comedian argued that the practice is distracting and questioned whether those advocating “my body, my choice” would adopt the same style at job interviews or corporate settings.
“Can you go braless to an interview for a job you’ve been praying for, at a company offering millions in salary? If they reject you, you start shouting ‘my body, my choice.’ We are simply glorifying nonsense and madness,” he added.
Arole warned that failing to challenge such behaviours could leave future generations without a moral compass. “With the way things are going, if we don’t speak up, we might lose all sense of morality as a generation,” he declared.
