I Choose Peace, Not Aso Rock – Patience Jonathan
Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has shut down speculations of any political comeback, declaring she has no interest in returning to Aso Rock.
Speaking with FCNN, Mrs. Jonathan explained that Nigeria’s current troubles have convinced her that peace of mind is far more valuable than power.
“The distress of Nigeria is so much that if God manages to bring you out of it, you should glorify Him. Why do you want to go back there? I need peace. My peace is enough,” she said.
Her statement comes as rumors swirl about the possible return of her husband, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, in the 2027 presidential race.
