Idah Local Government Council Cracks Down on Suspected Criminals in Kogi State

The Idah Local Government Council, led by Executive Chairman Alhaji Alfa Halilu, has apprehended several suspected criminals responsible for recent terror attacks in the Ede community and other parts of Idah.

The arrests were carried out by the Idah Operation Commander Special Squad Hunter team, led by Muhammed Opaluwa (ROSCO), during a daring security operation.

The crackdown follows a spike in criminal activities such as house burglaries and motorcycle thefts, prompting the Executive Chairman to declare a state of emergency on security in the area. In response, the Special Squad Security Committee recently inaugurated by Alh. Halilu has been actively working to restore peace and order.

Alh. Alfa Halilu, who personally visited the crime scene, praised the Special Squad Hunters for their bravery and swift action. He vowed that the arrested suspects would face the full force of the law and warned other criminal elements to abandon their activities or be prepared for dire consequences.

The suspects have been handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.

Reassuring residents, the Executive Chairman emphasized the council’s unwavering commitment to securing lives and property, declaring that the fight against crime in Idah is far from over.
