Inspector of Correctional Service dies in Zamfara auto crash

An officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Inspector Shabali Adamu, has lost his life in a fatal accident along the Damba–Gusau Expressway in Zamfara State.

Adamu was reportedly returning to Kwatarkoshi, where he resided with his family, after work on Monday evening when the accident occurred.

In a statement, the Zamfara Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC I Mustapha Abubakar, said the outgoing Controller of the command, Assistant Controller General (ACG) Alhaji Musa Tanko, described the late officer as a committed and dedicated professional who served the nation and the Correctional Service with distinction.

On behalf of the command’s officers and men, the ACG extended condolences to Adamu’s family, colleagues, and the entire Correctional Service community.

Until his death, Adamu was serving at the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Gusau.
