A young woman has been accused of poisoning and concealing the body of her lover in Iyo Polo community, Marine Base, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The incident occurred recently; the body was hidden for three days.The woman allegedly poisoned her lover, then concealed his body under his bed.
Residents of the area became alarmed after detecting a foul odor emanating from the apartment. Repeated attempts to contact the man were unsuccessful, prompting growing concern among neighbors.
Their suspicions were further heightened when the woman started acting strange and refused to allow anyone into the house.

Police were alerted and, when they arrived,they dashed into the house where they discovered the decomposing body of the deceased. The suspect was immediately taken into custody and is currently assisting authorities with investigations.
While the police are yet to issue an official statement regarding the motive, preliminary reports suggest the incident may have resulted from a domestic dispute.
