
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity across Nigeria. According to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government’s ongoing security operations have resulted in the elimination of more than 13,500 terrorists since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023.
Speaking during a meeting between President Tinubu and former U.S. President Donald Trump, the Minister emphasized that the Nigerian government remains fully dedicated to restoring peace and stability throughout the country.
“The Tinubu administration is resolute in ending the menace of terrorism and banditry. Since taking office, over 13,500 terrorists have been neutralized in various military operations,” Idris stated.
The announcement underscores the government’s intensified efforts to strengthen national security and protect citizens from insurgent attacks.
