Kwara varsity delivers two electric vehicles to state govt

Kwara State University (KWASU) has handed over two vehicles converted from petrol engines to electric to the Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology.

The vehicles were presented by the Chairman of KWASU Hold-co, Prof. Kenneth Adeyemi, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh.

Prof. Adeyemi described the development as a milestone that would promote environmental sustainability while adding economic value to society. He noted that more converted vehicles would be ready for delivery by September.

He also appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for giving KWASU the platform to showcase its capacity to contribute to societal development through innovation.

Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Damilola Adelodun, lauded the university’s team for their creativity and commitment, which resulted in the successful conversion of the vehicles.
