Lady throws 10-month-old baby into river over mockery in Delta

A woman known as Blessing Jonathan, has been arrested for allegedly throwing Prevail, her 10-month-old baby, into a river in Aviara, Isoko South Council Area of Delta State.
The incident occurred on October 31, due to Blessing’s anger after being insulted and made fun of by her peers.
According to the young woman, her friends and other women mocked her for having a “fatherless child,” leading her to throw the baby into the river in anger.
The missing child was not reported until early December, when news spread about a floating corpse. Upon recovery, it was confirmed to be the remains of the missing child.
While confessing, Blessing expressed regret stating she was not sure why she committed the act but admitted she “misses” her baby.
