Lagos Fire Service Saves Lady From Chemical Inferno

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service on Friday evening saved a female Lady from a chemical-induced inferno.
A statement signed by Margaret Adeseye, the agency’s director, on Saturday morning, revealed that the incident occurred at 291, Old Abeokuta Motor Road, opposite Vetland Secondary School, Agege, Lagos.
“Following the report of the incident which was made at 6:38pm on Friday, the Agege Fire and Rescue crew of the agency brought the situation under control after dousing the fire from the explosion of sets of varying kegs sizes containing unknown chemical stored in an open fenced-gated land,” Adeseye said.
Adeseye added that while investigation into the ownership and type of chemical is ongoing, it was discovered that heat radiation is attributed to the explosion of the chemical which were kept unprotected from sunlight.
The rescued lady is, however, responding to treatment from sustained first degree burnt.
