1.9 Million Applicants Apply for 30,0000 vacancies with CDCFIB
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has concluded receipt of applications for 2025 nationwide recruitment exercise, attracting a staggering 1,908,695 applications across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Despite the massive turnout, only 30,000 applicants will eventually be employed, representing just 1.57% of the total entries.
According to the breakdown, Kogi State topped the list with 116,031 applications, followed closely by Kaduna with 114,396, and Benue with 110,373. States with the lowest figures include Bayelsa (11,656), Lagos (14,212), and Rivers (22,181).
The Board stated that the next phase will involve shortlisting qualified candidates, who will be contacted via their registered Gmail accounts and phone numbers for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination.
Successful candidates from the CBT stage will proceed to further screening before final selection into the various services under the CDCFIB.
With competition at an all-time high, the announcement has sparked intense anticipation among applicants nationwide.
