Lagos State, MTN Unveil ‘My Lagos App’ to Enhance Urban Living

In a bid to improve urban living and streamline access to essential services, the Lagos State government, in collaboration with MTN Nigeria, has launched the My Lagos App. The app was unveiled at MTN Plaza, Ikoyi, Lagos, marking a significant step in leveraging digital solutions for city management.

Designed to enhance various aspects of city life, the app provides real-time updates, facilitates economic growth, and promotes transparency and accountability in governance.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, emphasized the importance of digital innovation in a rapidly growing metropolis like Lagos. He described the app as a vital tool connecting the government with residents while simplifying access to essential public services.

“The app is a comprehensive digital solution that provides seamless access to essential city services, including real-time traffic updates, personalised navigation, emergency services, utility payment services, business listings and tourism information; the app will serve as a vital link between the government and the citizens. It simplifies access to public services, promotes accountability and transparency and provides real-time updates,” Mr. Governor said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu further highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships in fostering innovation, stating:

“This partnership exemplifies the power of synergy between the public and private sectors in driving meaningful progress.”

Encouraging Lagosians to take advantage of the new platform, he urged residents to embrace digital transformation.

“As we are now in the digital age, technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity. I urge everyone in Lagos to embrace this app, download it, explore its features and fully utilize the services that it offers,” he said.

The My Lagos App is expected to revolutionize service delivery in the state, making everyday activities more efficient and accessible to all residents.
