Landlady Arrested as New Tenants Flee with Four Children

Tension erupted in Ogwashi-Uku, located within the Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, following reports of four children seemingly abducted on Sunday, allegedly by child traffickers.
FCNN gathered that two of the missing children, Ebube and Miracle, are siblings.
The incident took place in the Umuokwe quarters of the community, where local residents have raised suspicions about three women who had recently rented a unit in the area.
Witnesses claim that the women reportedly lured the children from their homes under the guise of purchasing biscuits for them from a nearby shop. Concern arose when the children could not be found within the compound.
Neighbors began to investigate, only to discover that the women’s apartment was vacated, with both the tenants and the children missing.
In response to the alarming situation, the Police Public Relations Officer for the State Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
He stated that the landlady of the property has been taken into custody. “The children were reported missing just three days after the women moved in,” he noted.
“They approached the landlady wanting to rent an apartment without providing any valid identification, such as names, phone numbers, or a rental agreement. After just three days, they disappeared along with the children. The landlady’s actions which caused the tension erupted in Ogwashi-Uku are highly suspicious, which is why she has been arrested.”
