Makinde celebrates Alaafin at 50, says monarch’s reign will herald Oyo’s golden era

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

In a goodwill message, the governor described the monarch’s life as remarkable, noting that his recent ascension to the historic throne marked a significant milestone.

“I celebrate the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, as he marks his 50th birthday. It is gratifying to note that his five decades on earth have been both gracious and impactful, culminating in his recent ascension to the revered throne of his ancestors,” Makinde said.

He expressed confidence that the monarch’s reign would usher in a new era of peace, prosperity, and progress for the Oyo Kingdom.
