Adult Film Star Turns Pastor Launches Church for Sinners by Sinners

Angela Dela Cruz, an adult film actress, is making headlines after revealing she also serves as a pastor at Living Faith Church, a new congregation she co-founded with her husband, Stephen Dela Cruz, in downtown San Diego. The couple describes their ministry as “a church for sinners by sinners,”promoting radical acceptance and a non-judgmental approach to faith.

Social media posts from the pair openly highlight Angela’s dual life, with one reading, “Where else will you find an adult actress who is also a pastor?!” They even hosted an event inviting followers to “peek behind the curtain” of their unconventional ministry.

Religion researcher Scott Thumma of the Hartford Institute for Religion Research called the situation unprecedented, noting the apparent contradiction between evangelical teachings and Angela’s involvement in adult entertainment. “Even Jesus said to ‘go and sin no more,’” Thumma remarked.

Both ordained ministers and former Bible college students, the Dela Cruzes have not responded to interview requests. While Stephen promotes himself as a multimillion-dollar entrepreneur, Angela continues to maintain an active career in the adult industry leaving many to question how faith and adult entertainment can coexist under one pulpit.
