Foundation organises free medical outreach for residents in Mushin

Lekan Paul Foundation, has provided free medical outreach to no fewer than 200 people in the Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Olalekan Ibrahim, convener of the outreach, and who also doubles as a Consumer Protection Specialist, noted that the exercise was part of his contributions to the society to improve the health and wellbeing of his constituents.

He further emphasized that the intervention comprised counseling and screening for hypertension, malaria, ulcer and blood sugar test.

According to Olalekan, those who are found to have any of the ailments were treated and given medication by certified doctors and pharmacists.

Mr. Mutiu Balaogun, one of the beneficiaries, in his remark, praised the convener for the free health screening which he described as timely.

“I commend Mr. Olalekan for bringing this initiative to the community. There are many people that are not able to afford medication to manage their high blood pressure. But with this free screening, they are able to get free drugs.” he said.

Alhaja Nimota Salami, another beneficiary, narrated how the medical team advised them to eat foods and fruit that will digest. Pp She also thanked the convener for placing premium on the health and wellbeing of his constituents.
