Insecurity: Gunmen kills LP senatorial candidate, five others in Enugu
Some unknown gunmen have killed the Labour Party senatorial candidate for Enugu East District of Enugu South Local Government Area, Enugu State and five other party members.
The victim, Oyibo Chukwu, and five other Labour Party supporters who were together in a vehicle, were murdered in cold blood by some masked gunmen.
Some party faithful and campaigners who escaped with varying degree of injuries included Oyibo’s political trainee and personal assistant.
Daniel Netochukwu Nnebe was also targeted during the dastardly attack, by the dreaded gunmen.
But he was fortunate not to be in the same vehicle with his mentor, Oyibo at the time.
Since then, Daniel has been on the run as political thugs have continued to be on his trail.
This unfavourable development has seen him from one part of Nigeria to another on a consistent basis for fear of his dear life.

Efforts to trace Daniel Netochukwu Nnebe’s whereabouts by our reporters have proven abortive as none of his relatives and associates have no information about his present location.
