Anna Mariana, the wife of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro , has come to her husband’s defense after he was widely criticised for his performance in Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Casemiro was at fault for Liverpool’s first two goals and was substituted at halftime.
Taking to Instagram, Anna posted a photo of Casemiro’s trophy cabinet, showcasing his numerous accolades, including five Champions League titles, three LaLiga titles, and the Copa America.
The post aimed to remind fans of the Brazilian’s impressive achievements in the sport.
Despite his wife’s support, Casemiro’s performance has put his starting spot in jeopardy.
Youngster Toby Collyer impressed during his 45-minute cameo, and new signing Manuel Ugarte from PSG may also challenge for a spot in the starting XI.
