MFM Provides Free Medical Care and Eyeglasses to FCT Communities

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have received free medical care and corrective eyeglasses through a health outreach organised by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), AMAC/ACO Regional Headquarters.

The outreach targeted rural communities including Gbaupe, Gosa, and Barwa villages, offering services such as medical tests, treatment, counselling, and eye care.

Tests conducted included packed cell volume, malaria, typhoid, full blood count, HIV/AIDS, and random blood sugar checks.

Beneficiaries were treated for various health conditions including malaria, hypertension, diabetes, sexually transmitted infections, gastrointestinal disorders, dental issues, and eye problems.

While some received corrective eyeglasses on the spot, those with more severe conditions were referred to tertiary health facilities.

Speaking during the event, Pastor Victor Aboluwade, Regional Overseer of AMAC/ACO, North Central Region 59, said the initiative was part of the church’s corporate social responsibility efforts. He noted that, beyond healthcare, the church also awarded full scholarships to academically bright but underprivileged students at Mountain Top University.

Additionally, MFM distributed food items—including bags of rice and beans, yams, and cooking ingredients—to community members facing economic hardship.

“This initiative comes at a time when many are grappling with a failing healthcare system, high inflation, and increasing difficulty in meeting basic needs,” Pastor Aboluwade said.

He explained that the outreach was in line with the Explosive Evangelism Initiative championed by the General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, aimed at reaching souls and making meaningful contributions to communities.

Also speaking, Sunday Ajimoko, Head of the Church’s Hospital and Healing Ministry, said the programme was designed to offer both immediate relief and long-term benefits to rural dwellers.
