Ilerioluwa Aloba, Late Nigerian singer known as Mohbad has gained a spot on Spotify’s 2024 Wrapped list through his feature on Chike’s hit song Egwu.
The track which was released in 2023, gained its place as one of the most streamed songs in Nigeria this year.
The late singer’s verse on Egwu brought his signature lyrical depth and raw energy, which paired seamlessly with Chike’s soulful delivery.
This posthumous recognition shows Mohbad’s continuous influence in the Nigerian music industry.
However, fans and music lovers have celebrated the collaboration as a standout moment in Afrobeats, with Egwu continuing to gain streams even after Mohbad’s untimely passing.
