Morgan Appointed Heineken’s Corporate Affairs Director for Africa and the Middle East

Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced the appointment of Sade Morgan as Corporate Affairs Director for Heineken’s Africa and Middle East (AME) region, effective May 15, 2025.

This advancement was disclosed in a recent statement from Hans Essaadi, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc.

Morgan will succeed David Paterson in this significant leadership position, making her the first national from the AME region to take on such a role within Heineken’s global Corporate Affairs framework.

In her new role, she will be a member of both the Heineken Global Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and the Heineken AME Management Team, where she will oversee corporate reputation, public policy, and sustainability strategies across the region.

Since joining Nigerian Breweries in 2018, Morgan has been instrumental in navigating complex regulatory and fiscal landscapes.

Additionally, she skillfully managed stakeholder communications during the temporary suspension of certain brewery operations in Nigeria.

Morgan’s leadership extends to promoting Heineken’s sustainability initiative, Brew a Better World, and enhancing the company’s commitment to responsible business practices in Nigeria.

Her contributions have been recognized with her recent accolades as the 2025 Outstanding Corporate Spokesperson of the Year and Corporate Communications Professional of the Year for 2024.

With over 27 years of experience in law, fast-moving consumer goods, tobacco, and beverages, Morgan’s career began in 1993 as a trained lawyer.

She has held senior positions in legal, corporate affairs, and regulatory functions at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company and British American Tobacco.

Her international experience includes roles across the UAE, UK, and West Africa.

An alumna of INSEAD, Morgan is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Institute of Directors. She previously served as the founding Chairperson of Nigeria’s Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance.
