Moses Orshio Adasu University Governing Council Inspects Proposed Technology Faculty Site in Kwande Ahead of September Take-Off
In a significant move toward the expansion of academic programs at Moses Orshio Adasu University, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Sir Paul Chukwuma, led members of the University Governing Council on a site visit to the proposed Faculty of Technology and Industrial Studies at Mbahar, Adikpo in Kwande Local Government Area on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

The visit, according to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tor Joe Iorapuu, ksm, fsonta, fnipr, follows earlier inspections and was aimed at giving Council members firsthand insight into the location and infrastructure planned for the faculty’s launch. He noted that the inspection aligns with the University’s preparations for the faculty’s official take-off in September 2025.

Speaking during the courtesy visit to the Ter Kwande, HRH Chief Engr. Timothy Ahire, the Pro-Chancellor emphasized the Council’s commitment to fulfilling the directive of the Benue State Governor to commence academic activities at the new faculty by the next academic session. He praised the people of Kwande for their generous land donation, describing it as a crucial foundation for the faculty’s establishment.

In his response, Chief Engr. Ahire appreciated the high-level visit and assured the Council of the Kwande community’s full support toward the successful implementation of the project. He called on the Council to engage with the state government for the timely release of funds necessary for the faculty’s take-off and praised their dedication to the university’s growth.

During the visit, the Council inspected four blocks of buildings designated for the commencement of academic activities in September. The development marks a strategic step forward in the institution’s mission to enhance technical and industrial education in the region.
