Three Olabisi Onabanjo University students lose their lives in a road crash. The accident occurs along the Ilisan-Ago-Iwoye Road on Friday. A commercial Opel Safira vehicle flips into the bush due to high speed.
The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirms the incident. Odutola says the accident happens at about 3:30 pm on Friday. One male passenger dies instantly, while two female students succumb to their injuries later.
The two female students are identified as Dada Oluwanifesimi, 18, and Miracle Ogo Oluwa Daniel, 19. They are rushed to Love and Care Hospital but die while receiving treatment. Two other students sustain critical injuries and are taken to the OOU Medical Centre for treatment.
The police recover the accident vehicle and store it safely at the station. The incident is currently under investigation.
