NBC Approves Champion Radio 90.7FM for Test Transmission
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has granted approval for Champion Radio 90.7FM, owned by Christ Miracle Church Mission (CMCM) in Ojodu, Lagos, to commence test transmission.
The approval was announced by NBC’s Zonal Director, Raphael Akpan, during an assessment tour of the station’s facilities. The inspection covered the studio, transmitter, inverter, mast, generator, and other essential equipment.
Akpan expressed satisfaction with the station’s setup, granting it a broadcast license to amplify the church’s voice.
“From our observation, we can say CMCM Champion broadcasting network 90.7FM is ready for transmission. It is our prayer that this station will go places,” he said.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to broadcasting standards and urged the station’s management to familiarize themselves with the National Broadcasting Code.
“It’s important for managers of the studio to look inward and study the National Broadcasting Code by studying the rules. I advise every operator of the studio to go through sections of NBC to be conversant with standards for broadcasting, commercials, engineering, among others,” Akpan added.
Prophet Peter Adebisi, the founder of CMCM, expressed gratitude to NBC for the approval, highlighting the station’s objectives. “The station will promote church programmes and policies, tell CMCM’s story to the world, train members with a passion for broadcast journalism, and create employment opportunities,” he said.
