Nollywood Star Ibrahim Chatta Mourns Son’s Death

Veteran Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta is mourning the death of his son.
The 54-year-old filmmaker announced the loss in an Instagram post on Saturday, though he did not reveal details about the circumstances of his son’s passing.
Sharing a photo of the deceased, Chatta wrote: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
Following the announcement, his fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with tributes and words of comfort.
The tragedy comes just days after the industry was thrown into mourning over the death of Ayomikun, the only son of veteran actress Peju Ogunmola, who passed away in Ibadan in his early 30s.
These back-to-back bereavements have left the Nollywood community in deep sorrow, with many expressing shock at the double tragedy.
Chatta had previously spoken about losing his first child, a daughter, years ago. He revealed that financial hardship and lack of proper medical care led to her death, forcing him to bury her in an old Coca-Cola crate as he could not afford a coffin.
