Nosa Rex blasts Ghanaian TV station over alleged piracy of new film

Nollywood actor Nosa Rex has accused a Ghanaian television station of illegally airing his latest movie, Prince of Peace, just six hours after its official release on YouTube.

In a strongly worded Instagram video, Rex condemned the station for what he described as a blatant disregard for intellectual property rights and the effort put into filmmaking. He directly called out the station, expressing anger over the alleged act, which he said undermines the Nigerian film industry.

The actor also linked the incident to a wider trend, noting that other Nollywood stars, including Omoni Oboli, Bimbo Ademoye, and Ruth Kadiri, have previously raised similar complaints against some Ghanaian TV stations.

Lamenting the repeated infringements, Rex declared:“Enough is enough. I just released Prince of Peace and you’ve already streamed it. Why? This is the reason Ghana’s entertainment industry will continue to lag behind. You people need to understand that what you’re doing is wrong.”
