Tensions are high in Suleja following a distressing incident at the Suleja General Hospital, where a family claims their daughter died due to negligence by medical staff. The hospital, the only public healthcare facility serving thousands in the Suleja area, is once again facing serious allegations of systemic failure and lack of accountability.
According to the grieving family, their daughter was admitted in critical condition and required an urgent blood transfusion. Despite doctors prescribing the transfusion, the procedure was never carried out. “They forgot to give her the blood,” a family member recounted tearfully. “When we asked, they said it wasn’t intentional.”
The patient later died, leaving the family and community devastated. The incident has reignited concerns among Suleja residents, many of whom have long expressed frustration over what they describe as frequent delays, poor coordination, and inadequate care at the hospital.
“This place is supposed to save lives,” said one resident who asked to remain anonymous. “Instead, we keep hearing stories of confusion, neglect, and unnecessary deaths.”
Hospital management has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. However, a source within the hospital who spoke under anonymity acknowledged that internal procedures may have been breached and that an internal review is underway.
