NYCN: Sokoto Chapter Sworn Newly Executive.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has urged the newly sworn in Executives of the state Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria to consider their election into various offices as a clarion call to serve the entire state.

He made the plea at the swearing in of the new Executives of the state chapter of NYCN and Introduction of the state chapter of 4TH Assembly held at the Auditorium of Sultan Macciɗo institute for Qur’an and General Studies, Sokoto.

Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu also stressed the need for them to be committed and dedicated in all their dealing as representatives of Sokoto youth.

The governor said, as elected representatives, they must put the interest of those who elected them above their personal interest and make sacrifice as it is the key to successful leadership.

He assured them of the state government’s readiness to continue remain youth friendly with open door policy.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir commended the state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the NYCN electoral Committee for working tirelessly to see to the success of theelection.

In a welcome address, the permanent secretary of the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Alhaji Muhammad Bello said the inauguration of the 2 organisations symbolised a renew hope,commitment and determination for a brighter future of youth in the state.

The permanent secretary expressed appreciation with the maturity exhibited by youth and the electoral committe that led to the emergence of the new executive members.

In his post election speech, the new chairman of the state chapter of NYCN Comrade Isah Abdullahi Yabo commended the vision of Governor Ahmed Aliyu to youth for a prosperous Sokoto State.

Comrade Isah Abdullahi pledged to advocate for policies aimed at empowering youth to become agents of change.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the state government to revive the Sokoto Youth Development Centre to continue training of teeming youths on various skills acquisition programmes to become self reliant.
