NYSC Camps Open Nationwide as Thousands Begin 2025 Batch A Stream II Orientation
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps have officially opened across Nigeria for the 2025 Batch A Stream II corps members.
Thousands of graduates are expected to report to their respective camps on Wednesday to commence the mandatory three-week orientation exercise.
The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier Nafiu, urged the new corps members to embrace discipline, patriotism and unity as they begin their national service.
“He also emphasized the importance of participating fully in all camp activities, including drills, lectures and skills acquisition programs.”
To ensure a smooth and safe exercise, security and health officials have been deployed to all 37 camps nationwide. The NYSC management also advised parents and guardians to maintain communication with their children through official channels and to refrain from making unnecessary visits to the camps.
The NYSC Coordinator for Cross River State, Mrs. Oyenuga Joke, charged all camp officials to be disciplined and responsible in discharging their duties, calling on them to give their best to ensure the success of the 2025 Batch A Stream II orientation course.
“She appealed to all officials to work in synergy and avoid any confrontational behavior with the corps members in order to have a hitch-free orientation exercise.”

During the maiden camp officials’ meeting at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Obubra, Cross River State, Camp Director Mr. Peter Enuma emphasized the need for collaboration and commitment.
