Delivering the judgment on Wednesday, Justice O. Ogunfowora found Malomo guilty of the charge of murder, stating that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt.
“You are hereby guilty of killing Asisat Akande as preferred against you. You will be hanged by the neck until you are dead. May God have mercy on you,” declared Justice Ogunfowora during the sentencing.
The State Prosecuting Counsel, Mr. A. M. Adebayo, Deputy Director of Public Prosecution, revealed that the incident occurred on July 18, 2021, at about 9:30 PM in Ori-Apata community, Oke-Aregba, Abeokuta.
