Ogun FRSC Unveils New Admin Building to Boost Efficiency and Safety
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State has inaugurated a new administrative block at the RS2.25 Sagamu Interchange Unit Command.
The facility was built by Chief Ifeanyi Imuseh, Managing Director of VPEG Energy and Gas Limited, as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The initiative aims to enhance service delivery, improve staff welfare, and promote the safety of residents and road users along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The new building has been named in honor of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.
During the inauguration, Unit Commander Assistant Corps Commander Olufemi Ige praised the donation, emphasizing its impact on the FRSC’s operations.
“The three-room offices will provide ample space for our administrative functions, ensuring smoother operations and improved efficiency in our work. This building has come to be from designing to the commissioning. Indeed, this is a morale booster not just for the management of this unit command but for the entire staff; this has really boosted their morale. It will go a long way in enhancing them to discharge their duties,” he said.
Chief Imuseh, speaking at the event, shared insights into how the project evolved from a modest office space to a more comprehensive facility.
“We discussed even security of the area, and that gave birth to see how we can work with civil defense around that can assist us with the police. So that is how this project started. When we started, our aim was to just do a small office, but he kept saying we don’t have a conference room here, we don’t have restaurants. I told him we have a project we just started.”

He further explained how the collaboration with FRSC leadership influenced the project’s expansion.
“That is how we started, and I cannot keep commending him, because during the period of the project, my directive was for them to move our fence first and the civil defense before this. And I’m telling you, this one is the first we roof, because he keeps loving my boys, even the workers. He will give them food, he will give them this, and they give him the best. So I really thank you, Shehu Mohammed, for giving us Commander Ige.”
In response, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the new block will create an enabling environment for FRSC personnel to perform their duties more effectively.
