58 Inmates Sit for 2025 NECO Exam in Kano — Correctional Service

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command, has announced that 58 inmates from its custodial centres are currently participating in the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa.
According to him, the achievement was made possible through the sponsorship of the inmates’ registration fees by the Kano State Government, led by Governor Abba Yusuf.
“This gesture reflects the government’s dedication to the welfare, rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of inmates under our care,” Kofar-Nasarawa said.

The command expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for his consistent support, noting that the initiative will not only uplift the inmates’ morale but also offer them a valuable opportunity to pursue education and a better future.
“The NCoS Kano State Command remains committed to fostering a rehabilitative environment and is proud to enjoy the strong backing of the Kano State Government in this mission,” the statement concluded.
