One of The 5 Abuja Abducted Victims, Esther Adesiyan, Found Dead in Niger State

A devastating incident has occurred in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as gunmen have killed a woman who was abducted from her home in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, Bwari Area Council. The woman, identified as Mrs. Esther Adesiyan, was taken along with her husband, son, and her husband’s elder brother during the attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday.

According to a family member who spoke to Abuja Metro, the body of Mrs. Adesiyan was discovered on Tuesday morning in the Ijah-Gbagyi community of Tafa Local Government Area in Niger State. The family member, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that vigilantes in the area were alerted about the discovery of the corpse and subsequently notified their counterparts in Chikakore.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital’s morgue. It is suspected that Mrs. Adesiyan was killed by her abductors due to exhaustion while being led through the bush. The remaining victims, including her husband, son, and brother-in-law, are still being held captive.

The family source revealed that the abductors have not yet established contact with the victim’s relatives, leaving them in a state of uncertainty and distress. Mrs. Adesiyan is survived by four children, including the son who was abducted along with her.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, was unreachable for comment on the incident, despite repeated attempts to contact her. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the growing concern of insecurity in the region.
