Over 500,000 Students Apply for NELFUND Loans

More than 500,000 students have submitted applications for loans through the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) portal.

This achievement, reached within just 11 months of operations, has been celebrated by NELFUND as a significant milestone in its inaugural year.

In a statement by the Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND emphasized that this surge in applications highlights the pressing need for accessible financing options for students in Nigeria.

Additionally, it reflects the widespread confidence in NELFUND’s mission to democratize access to tertiary education.

“This is more than just a statistic; it symbolizes hope for families across Nigeria. We are witnessing a nationwide demand for educational opportunities, and NELFUND is proud to be a pivotal part of this transformation,” stated Managing Director Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr.
