Panic in Benue Community as Armed Fulani Militia Allegedly Mobilize for Attack

Tension is mounting in Udei town, located in Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following reports that armed Fulani herdsmen are allegedly mobilizing to launch a coordinated attack on the community.

The alarm was raised earlier today by a resident, Bernard Abam, who took to social media to warn of a potential threat. According to his post, suspected Fulani militia reportedly moved from the Mkoma area in neighboring Nasarawa State and have now encircled Udei town.

“The Fulani militia men moved today from around Mkoma in Nasarawa State to Udei for attack and are spread round the town now,” Abam wrote.

The development has sparked widespread panic among residents, many of whom are said to be fleeing their homes for fear of being caught in the violence. Community members are calling for immediate and decisive intervention from security agencies to prevent a possible bloodbath.
