Passengers Escape Death on 3rd Mainland Bridge Lagos
Panic broke out on Monday, September 1st, when a commercial bus carrying several passengers was involved in a ghastly accident on the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses, the fully loaded bus suddenly lost control in the middle of the busy bridge, swerving dangerously before crashing. Passengers screamed in fear as the vehicle skidded, but by sheer luck, no lives were lost.
The timely intervention of operatives from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other emergency responders prevented further tragedy. Victims were quickly rescued and traffic flow was restored after the wreckage was cleared.
The accident, however, left several commuters stranded as traffic gridlock built up along the bridge for hours.
Authorities have urged motorists, especially commercial drivers, to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and maintain their vehicles properly to avoid future occurrences.
