PAUU Public Admin final year students surprises lecturer with gifts as payback for mentorship

Scores of 400l students from Public Administration Department of Kogi State University known Price Audu Abubakar University have surprised one of their lecturer identified as Mr Omale Danjuma II with thoughtful gifts following his class on Tuesday.

FCNN gathered that the surprise was a collective effort, with each student contributing a unique gift to express their gratitude for Mr. Omale’s exceptional teaching and mentorship.

The finale year students, disclosed that the gesture was inspired by their lecturer’s kind and friendly nature, which has significantly impacted their academic journeys.

“Mr. Omale has been more than just a lecturer to us,” said the Class Coordinator, one of the event’s organizers. “He’s been a mentor, a guide, and a friend. I have never encountered someone like him before.

“We wanted to show our appreciation for everything he has done and continues to do for us, as well as for his genuine concern for our academic and holistic growth. We hope to express our gratitude in an even bigger way when we eventually graduate and become meaningful members of society. He deserves it.”

The gifts, which ranged from wine and snacks to heartfelt appreciation notes, were presented to Mr. Omale during a surprise ceremony just as he was finishing his class.

Mr. Omale who was emotional and physically overwhelmed thanked the students for their thoughtful gesture and stated that: “This is truly one of the most touching moments of my teaching career. I’m so grateful to have such wonderful students.”
