PDP Leadership Crisis Deepens as NWC Holds Emergency Meeting After Supreme Court Ruling

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Acting National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum, has called an emergency meeting at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

This urgent gathering follows a recent Supreme Court decision that upheld the removal of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, replacing him with Hon. Sunday Udeh-Okoye. The ruling has intensified internal tensions within the party, raising concerns among stakeholders.

Political analysts believe the meeting aims to address damage control, foster reconciliation among party members, and strategize for the 2027 general elections. With growing internal disputes, party leaders are under pressure to unite the PDP and strengthen its position ahead of future political battles.
