Police Arrest 23-Year-Old Woman With ₦2m, Drugs, and Pistol in Kogi
The Kogi State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old woman, identified as Charity Williams, after she was found in possession of ₦2,047,500 cash, assorted hard drugs, and a locally made Beretta pistol.
According to reports, Williams was apprehended during a police operation at a hotel in Kogi State. Authorities said the discovery followed credible intelligence, which led to her arrest before she could allegedly distribute the substances.
The Command’s spokesperson explained that the recovery included a pistol, large quantities of illicit drugs, and millions of naira suspected to be proceeds of crime.
Police have since launched an investigation to determine the source of the money, the drugs, and how she obtained the firearm.
The Commissioner of Police assured residents of the state that security operatives remain committed to clamping down on criminal activities, especially those linked to drugs and arms proliferation.
Williams is expected to be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
