
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has smashed two syndicates of armed robbers and vandals of public assets in parts of the state, arresting four suspects and recovering incriminating items.
Arrested God’time Emmanuel James, 23, from Midim waterside in Abak local government area.And recovered items are small handbag containing dried leaves suspected to be cannabis,four door handles,mini flashlight and several parts of damaged door locks.
FCNN gathered that Ubong Michael Patrick, 27 years old, from Ikpa Ibiono community in Ibiono Ibom LGA
Ibrahim Kanu, 20 years old, from Gorore community in Adamawa State and Nazipi Dahiru, 25 years old from Gombe State were arrested.Recovered items are one black operational motorcycle,one locally-made pistol and One long dagger knife.
James was wanted in connection with the vandalisation of school structures and private homes. He was apprehended during an intelligence-led raid on August 18, 2025.
The syndicate was responsible for a series of early morning robberies in the Uyo capital city. They robbed several citizens, including a 32-year-old female resident of Sampson Akpan Street, Uyo, of an iPhone 12 Pro valued at N650,000.

The police are currently working to recover the stolen items, including phones that were packaged and transported to Kano State for sale to unsuspecting buyers. The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has reassured citizens of its commitment to ensuring their safety and security, urging them to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
