Police Debunk Claims of Helicopter Supplying Food Items to Bandits in Kogi

The Nigeria Police Force has denied allegations that a police helicopter was used to supply bandits in Kogi State.
A video had gone viral showing a helicopter landing in a remote area with armed individuals, sparking claims of police support for bandits. The Police clarified that the video was actually from a legitimate security operation conducted on May 10 in the Obajana axis of Kogi State.
The operation aimed to tackle kidnapping and banditry in the region, with the helicopter providing aerial surveillance and tactical support.

The Police urged the public to disregard “unfounded and mischievous claims” and rely on official communication channels for accurate updates on security operations.The Force reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property across the country.
