“Don’t link release of Nnamdi Kanu to insecurity in SE region” -Soludo
Governor Soludo of Anambra State has stated that release of Nnamdi Kanu and insecurity in South-East are separate issues.
The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been in Department of State Services (DSS) detention for nearly five years following his arrest in Kenya.
During his third-anniversary media chat, Soludo call for Kanu’s release but security concerns should not be linked to it.
He views Kanu’s release as essential for broader discussions on the long-term future of the Igbo people.
Meanwhile, he has offered an olive branch to criminals, urging them to surrender for rehabilitation or face consequences.
The governor also blamed Simon Ekpa and his group for escalating violence in the region.

Ekpa, who claimed leadership of IPOB after Kanu’s arrest, was detained in Finland last year for “public exhortation to an offence, committed with terrorist intent.”
Soludo accused Ekpa of exploiting the situation for financial gain.
