The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed the arrest of a woman identified as Ihsanatu Shaaibu, caught in a viral video physically assaulting and injuring her 5-year-old stepdaughter.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on the Force’s official X handle on Thursday by its spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
Attached to the statement were pictures of the 5-year-old Fa’iza Bala with a deep wound on her head.
The Force assured that the woman will be prosecuted as soon as the investigation is concluded.
“In relation to the viral video where a woman identified as Ihsanatu Shaaibu physically abused and caused grievous injuries to her stepdaughter Fa’iza Bala, a 5-year-old.
“The Suspects were arrested Yesterday, Thursday, 9th Jan 2025, and will be prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded
